Getting a point out of that is huge (for their push to not have to give up a lottery pick). A pleasant plot twist, anyway, was so sure DET was going to drop one in late in the 3rd.

Re: Das 2025-2026 NHL Regular Season Thread: If Connor McDavid were a real team player, he’d sign for the league minimum

Got absolutely eviscerated with stomach flu Monday night so I've been going to bed at like 8, 8:30, getting great sleeps. Now I'm up eating doritos at 9PM, still at least 45 mins to go before I try to soothe my fury after the what is seeming like an inevitable 3-1 loss with Detroit having 18 shots o...

The RD available market, at least as far as I've seen it, is terrible. Gonna be a bunch of teams in on crappy players.

At this point the SNES only (semi-?) realistic hope is 8 seed. Going down 11 to the wings would not be good but the bigger cost is just the 2 points on the group of teams fighting for 8

Re: Olympic hockey thread

I saw a tweet this morning and would look for it but I deleted my account, so... Sandy had a pretty rough gold medal game xG% wise (based on this tweet's graph) but he looked generally good in the tournament.

Re: Olympic hockey thread

Like, feels kinda nuts but Canada had almost no secondary scoring from forwards almost the entire tournament (not counting France, obv)

Re: It’s the Number One Buttz Shooter

And, you know, I guess I could go to blue sky but I feel that it's less the platform than the medium? Just the absolute worst way to communicate. My oldest came upstairs just before this while I posting about the olympics (she's home sick from school) and asked what I was doing and I told her I was ...

Not a goaltending expert but, yes, I do believe it's considered not a great idea to leave a triangle hole you can calculate the hypotenuse of between your legs.

Re: Olympic hockey thread

Binnington was totally fine all tournament, just fine tho. Like, he stopped most of the shots you expect, had a couple nice saves, yada yada. He's a bottom tier starter, though, so I guess that went about as well as you'd expect.

Re: Olympic hockey thread

Can't really hate on Binnington but he did basically get out of the way of the winner Yeah. I think 3-on-3 OT is basically you NEED: 1) to have possession and never give it up 2) your goalie to make a save when the other team gets an inevitable 2-on-1 or guy in alone 3) the other team to miss the n...

Re: Olympic hockey thread

He's too young to take actual BLAME but Celebrini had like THREE chances to win it in that last PP and missed the net on all of them. Not nearly as bad as McKinnon's but... bad.
