Losing 6-3 to the BLOT is a little more expected. I was record shopping in Chicago but this was my experience of checking the score:

1-0 Wings: Awesome, hell yeah
1-1: Ah well
4-2 BLOT: Fuuuuuck
4-3 BLOT: Perhaps!
Turned the radio on in the car, BLOT immediately make it 5-3, turn it off.

I think it makes sense in the abstract of “We need a veteran defenseman to babysit these kids” but five years seems like a lot.
