No wait I’ll always have that

(FA and I were watching Slint play in Chicago, our friends bailed on the show to watch the game)

There's a statue of Lute Olsen on campus who turned out to be a super big creep!

Maybe RichRod will get a statue after all.

If I had to guess what UMBC stood for with a time limit I would have said University of Montana, Butte College, which is a good guess

Before googling, I went with University of Michigan Battle Creek.

It's definitely great no longer having the most humiliating loss in the tournament (in our bracket even!) but at the same time kind frustrating because if UA could've won, this region is blown wide open now.

But I guess if we couldn't beat Buffalo what chance did we have against Tennessee or Cincy.

Rome was just going off on Thursday about how a 16 would win one day.

Just goes to show you don't need to follow this shit to win a pool. I did the math on my $25 entry last night and I officially have a 27% chance of winning 500 buck.

Yeah I'm actually in 3rd in my pool somehow even though I have like 3 teams still alive. This year has been crazy though, especially considering when the brackets were revealed everyone though they were boring and you could win by just going chalk.

I'm in a pool where you allocate points and I put literally 10 seconds of thought into it and the thought wasn't much more complicated than the old stupid comments about girls picking teams because they like the colors. Basically it shook out like this:

1 seeds. I don't remember Xavier or Virginia ever being good so fuck them. Villanova won recently and Kansas is not Duke so they're in.

2 seeds. I used to ride Michigan St until they fucked me a bunch. I once picked Cincinnati to win when they had Kenyon Martin and they lost in round 1 so fuck them.

3 seeds. Texas Tech? Hahaha yeah right (oops) someone said Michigan was real hot so yeah I'll pick them to win it all because I can't go with a 1 seed because someone else's knowledge beats mine in other games if we both pick Villanova or some shit.

There is some real scientific picking there.

And I picked Arizona with lots of points because I figured they'd get mad paid if they made the final four.

I think I'm actually locked in to 2nd place now, but there's a chance someone could tie me.

If stupid K-State could have beaten stupid Loyola I would have had a 100% chance of winning. Now, my hopes live and die with one of the worst free throw shooting teams in the history of college basketball.

Actually, I'm locked into either 1st or 2nd if Michigan wins against Sister Jean which means user captain I may be buying the hotstove.

Oh yeah I came in 2nd alone here, got my $ back!

shank do you know if it's somewhat easy to offshore/Vegas gamble down there? I'm getting pretty serious about moving to Phoenix after I graduate this month, but boy do I love being a degenerate.

I won the bracket pool I was in, but there was no money involved. It's a Can't Stop the Bleeding (Gerard Cosloy of Matador Records' sports blog, which I contributed to during grad school) pool, so I was mostly psyched about beating guys who came up with a lot of really great college basketball puns for their team names.

I finished 2nd in my pool thanks to the racist homophobic scoring machine sub at Villanova but still won $275.

Not true! I'd have won $550 if Michigan had won.
