My driving and ball striking has been fuckin phenomenal all year but my putting has been dogshit. I three jacked my way to an 82 a week ago and was amazed I scored that well but I guess I just hit a lot of greens and kept the blowup holes to a minimum (I think I had two doubles on the day.)

my biggest problem is that i'm fucking awful at reading the green. i'm trying to take more time to see it from different angles but half the time i get up there, don't know what it's going to do, and just aim at the cup

i'm a fraud

My biggest problem is mechanical. I have been turning the wrists over on the downstroke and pulling lots of putts (even short ones) left pretty bad. I thought I was cured but then went out yesterday and fuckin started doing it again.

At least 1 golf course is open in Calgary with this ridiculous weather.

user captian, if you're gonna be in Alberta at all this summer, Kananaskis is reopening and tee times go up tomorrow:

https://www.kananaskisgolf.com/

shank, this club is maybe the most beautiful I've ever played but it was destroyed by the floods in 2013 and is just reopening now. And it's kinda sorta owned by the province due to some shady-ass business deal when it was built so it's actually pretty cheap for Alberta residents.

My golf season is probably gonna start late. I mean thanks to Al Gore I'm already golfing but I'm gonna take a few ski trips to try to find snow and then I'm going to Barcelona in May so I may not do any golf trips this year.

Rory looms like he's been rolling around in ball bearings.

Rory becomes a bigger twat with each passing year.

He's like Nick Faldo without the charm.

Faldo either loves Imagine Dragons as much as Fatrick Reed or he googled the lyrics to Radioactive this morning.

I putt better with a 20 year old Ping Zing 2 than a Scotty Cameron Newport so I'm goin with the Ping.

I was searching "Ping" to see if I told this story last summer and had a laugh.

A good buddy of mine was looking to get into golf (he's a contractor so gets invited by clients a lot, and was a decent golfer as a kid) so we went out one day looking for clubs. He had this weird thing where he refused to buy used even though most used golf clubs are hardly used so we ended up at GolfTown. He spent like $2K on all new shit, Ping driver, Nike iron set they were still clearing out, bag, and like a $300 putter.

While he was trying putter after putter on their fake grass I just started tooling around with a Ping Zing 2 out of boredom. I've been carrying a Ping Anser forever, it was a free club from some oil company tournament years ago. But with the Zing 2 I sank putt after putt after putt after putt after putt. So the sales guy (actually the manager of the store, he came out to upsell my buddy when they realized they had a sucker on their hands) looks at me, shakes his head, and says "I don't even have to sell you on that, do I?"

Anyways my point is, shank, I fucking love this thing and I don't buy the expensive putter thing at all.
