Congrats on the W NA. Didn't get to see the game, but did quite the double take when I saw the score this afternoon.

Need to get Ryan and Bernier back in the lineup before the deadline

My guess right now for the deadline is:

- Glendening is traded for 3rd round pick, maybe a late second if enough teams get involved. Right now I could see Toronto, Edmonton, Pittsburgh, and Florida each making a push for him. Even if he's traded I put 50/50 odds on him returning in the offseason.
- Ryan is traded for a 4th round pick. Going in and out of the lineup with injuries dropped the return significantly.
- Gagner is not traded.
- One, maybe two of Staal, Nemeth, or Merrill is traded, with retention. Broons / BLOT / Panthers in the mix.
- Bernier is not traded because of injury concerns and the goaltending market is always underwhelming.
- Mantha is not traded because it would be stupid

All told I think they get a handful of mid-round picks, and a cap dump if necessary.

In an article about the Wings getting the vaccine, Helm says not now

“I'm not against it,” he said. “I had COVID early on, so I’m hoping I still have antibodies. I don’t really want to put that extra stress on my body. When the season is over, I’ll probably take a look at it.”

Shreds hit two posts that period

Wings PK looked good. Glendening took two minors. The first was for a SUBTLE PICK PLAY that let Staal go in for a chance on goal. The second was for going after Davies after he drove Filppula’s back into the bench on a late hit.

Nielsen made two incredible fuck-ups on the PK

The first was when he was directing traffic up high and told Namestikov to move to the left, then Nielsen slipped and fell on his face. The second was when he got the puck behind the net, had plenty of time to do a hard clear, but instead tried to pass it between two sets of legs to the Wings d-man to the side of the goal and ended up giving it straight to Johansen, who got stuffed by Greiss.
