I mean, France is a damn fine team anyway but this probably seals it.

Took Neymar almost six minutes to pretend to be injured.

Of the many amazing chances Brazil have had early, the only one they buried was into their own net.

England may have lost but are in the best condition I've seen them in my life.

Have to respect Croatia though. That is the best team they have ever had ever. Every one of their players are pretty much at their peak right now. If English fans watched other leagues this wouldn't be a surprise. Perisic, Mandžukić, Rakitic, Kovačić, Rebic, et al have been ruling all their leagues the last few years. If you watch the Bundesliga, Serie A, La Liga, et al this shouldn't be a surprise. Rebic was great for Eintract this year, Kramarić was amazing for Hoffenheim.

I've not seen much Bundesliga but I've seen enough of La Liga to know Modric and Rakitic are about the best in the world at midfield.

Ya those two aren't a shock by any means. Missing out if you don't pay attention to Monaco, Bayern, Inter, Juve, Hoff, and Frankfurt though. All those players have been at the top of their respective teams for the most part.

Yeah, I'm a bit familiar with Mandzukic through seeing him in the Champions League. The other guys I just know about by hearing persistent transfer rumors about them.

Was very impressed by Croatia yes and I'm pulling for them in the final. I also saw this game as a vindication of my belief in Raheem the dream. Thought he was "our" best player and England didn't threaten at all after he was subbed (to great applause again at my local pub)

I had a £1 bet on Mandzukic scoring 2 or more and he could have had 3. Would have paid out £70. But I paid for the bet using credit from an unclaimed £10 payout slip I found at the betting machine. Anyway that's a wrap for today's low stakes gambling addict digest.

I watched the quarters at a pub with craft beer so when people applauded Sterling being replaced I thought like listen to these college grads booing a London lad who made it against the odds and tremendous prejudice. But Vs Croatia I was at a boozer with a very mixed crowd every aspect of which was represented in the brutal criticism of Sterling.

Well he is Black and has a gun tattoo so it's obviously his fault they didn't win the most difficult tournament in the sport.

So glad Croatia got to wear their checkerboards today. Mbappé will be in Madrid in a month, right?
