Reading an article about how Knies has been dealing with a knee injury since November, and I can't help but see that coming into play in March if they're fully out of it and need to tank hard so they can keep their pick. Shut down Matthews, Nylander, Rielly, Woll & Stolarz.

Rielly needs to play big mins if they want to have any hope of finishing bottom 5. I think that's basically unachievable though at this point.

If they had a GM with any clue I would be up for trading Knies. He's great and probably their only playoff type forward but, he can't hit, can't play D, is a winger when there's such a need at C and D. But I wouldn't want Treliving to be the one to do it

I don't follow the NBA that closely but it's hard to come up with a comparable trade of a 26 year old for a 36 year old in the NHL
