Yeah well said. I couldn't watch with family obviously but a bunch of the Canadians from ball hockey got to watch it at 1-4pm on a Sunday, a historic opportunity. And agreed it was one of the best games I've ever seen.Alexei Ca$hin wrote: ↑Tue Feb 24, 2026 11:15 am I got to watch the final game with my parents (late 70s) and son (now 18!) and it kinda felt like it could be the last time we get to experience something like that together. I can't even be mad about the outcome. All time classic game in my opinion, right up there.

Re: Olympic hockey thread
I remember taking the 2009 Stanley Cup Final loss very hard (especially considering they won the year before) because I didn’t know if my dad would be around for another round. He passed away in March 2010. At this rate who knows if I see another run. Anyway, savor what you can.Alexei Ca$hin wrote: ↑Tue Feb 24, 2026 11:15 am I got to watch the final game with my parents (late 70s) and son (now 18!) and it kinda felt like it could be the last time we get to experience something like that together. Saw a picture of five of the US players with Karoline Leavitt and someone else, Tage Thompson was wearing a MAGA hat
I'm really beginning to miss when NHL players refused to talk about anything other than hockey cliches

Fuckin STOKED Brock Nelson wasn’t there. Don’t care why, just gonna believe he has a conscience.
Re: Olympic hockey thread
Tage went ‘patriotic’ and then put up 2 points in a win
