2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs Thread: Carolina's tries revolutionary new strategy: Never lose games

I didn't see any of the alleged infractions but I am going to assume that the Montreal PP Canadiens did not deserve 5 PPs last night

I don't think there was anything egregious. The last one was incredibly stupid by Guentzel - he tried to tip a shot like 5 feet in the air by kinda blindly swinging his stick in the air and hit Guhle in the neck.

Mildly dying. Much better game although the PP has been godawful and Stutzle not burying one of his, like, four amazing chances (and his brutal pass on the 2-0 goal) is killing me.

Board is sick/broken but did nobody watch that OT? Sequence of events:
1. Late in OT 1, Stall springs Martinook going into the zone for a chance, somebody hooks his arm and ref's arm goes up
2. Canes control play, a slapshot rebound goes to the side of the empty net, Jankowski burries it
3. Hold on, offside challenge
4. Ref: no goal, it was offside... BUT #48 gets a penalty shot
5. Ullmark saves it
6. Going to OT 2

Stu is a donkey. What a mf setup by Brady on that chance right at the end of regulation. What a save by Ando on my the Brady chance before that.

Pretty sure I'd checked Yahoo when they'd registered the 1OT goal, the fact that it went to 2OT was news to me this morning
Reminds me of a Wings / Kings game early this season that went to OT, I checked the score during a trip to the bathroom, saw that the Kings had won in OT, and the next morning I learned that the goal had been overturned and Detroit had won.

I like what happened to your team better than what happened to my team!
Agree on Stutzle, the game was there for him to win on multiple occasions and he ganked on all of them (I guess the OT deke post was just bad luck more than ganking)

He's definitely lacking in finishing ability, which suuuuucks cause he' gets approx 1000 chances a night.

I just clocked that the penalty shot infraction occurred (obviously) on a play that was judged to be offside

Not sure what’s worse having to watch the kings or having all these games in espn

natural stat trick dot com has the cumulative/team level shot/xG etc charts and tables but none of the individual/on-ice, aside from TOI. I wonder if the NHL restricts playoff event data?

Buffalo also might want to try playing before 10 minutes left in the 3rd

Why on Bettman's green earth does every game in Dal-Minny start at 8:50 local time?
