A real Dylan Larkin this guyNurse gave the Edmonton Oilers a three-team list to work with (Pittsburgh Penguins, Flyers and Bruins).

SNES didn't qualify Ersson, I assume idea is to sign him for way less than the $1.5M QO?

Seems like a lot of that is happening this year, Wings didn't qualify Carter Mazur who I assumed would be on the fourth line / 13th forward

1. Panth also got Akira Schmid from Vegas so I guess they have a new goalie tandem. The New Jersey Devils are trading Jacob Markstrom and Angus Crookshank to the Florida Panthers for Evan Rodrigues, Jesper Boqvist and Ben Steeves
2. Markstrom was bad last year!
3. I guess Florida has enough cap space (4.4 mil) to sign Gudas and Schmid.

Vegas saves 2.75 mill in cap spacePenguins trade Parker Wotherspoon to Golden Knights for Kaedan Korczak
Re: 2026 NHL Offseason Thread: Major trade makes it easier to record podcasts for Tkachuk brothers
Bobby Brink back for 1x2.75. A bit under what his QO would’ve been so I’ll take it
Re: 2026 NHL Offseason Thread: Major trade makes it easier to record podcasts for Tkachuk brothers
Florida rolling the dice on 2 guys who absolutely suck. I'm sure one will end up Vezina calibre next year as things just seem to work out for them

I know Yzerman's not rushing to make a trade, but given that other teams are going to address their issues / use their cap space, it seems entirely plausible that Larkin gets dealt tomorrow. Supposedly he hasn't expanded his trade list, which is a bummer. I think the best hope is some kind of three-way involving Dallas and Robertson.

Elliotte Friedman says Zach Werenski vetoed a trade to Dallas where “Thomas Harley was to be the centrepiece of the return, but other players/picks may have been involved, too.”

Supposedly he wants to stay in the East and Toronto and Tampa are in on it

I didn't realize Burakovsky's cap hit was $5.5 million. SNES are resigning Cousins at two much (fuck this guy also). Giroux gonna sign elsewhere. All of these aren't the absolute end of the world in a vacuum but in the Atlantic especially (where it also sounds like Werenski will be going) they are fucked.

When I saw the SNES re-upped Cousins I thought "Oh yeah there's another guy I fucking hate"

Some guesses that the Wings might sign Eeli Tolvanen, who seems like a decent middle-six guy who has also averaged 200 hits a year over the last three.
It's all deck chairs on the Titanic so who cares, really, but I doubt Kane comes back. On one hand I won't miss a guy who deactivates in any loose puck situation, on the other hand, he had 57 points last year.
Right now (ha ha, deep sigh):
Raymond / Copp / Finnie
DeBrincat / Compher /
Kasper / Danielson / Brandsegg-Nygard
Appleton / Rasmussen /
Mazur might get a contract, they didn't do his QO but that hasn't stopped teams. They have a few Russians in camp who could get deals. They got that Swiss guy Theo Rochelle or whatever. I have to assume a Living Human Form, maybe two, would come back for Larkin. But man the above is dire. Unless Kasper and Danielson step up big time, it's gonna be rough.

Re: 2026 NHL Offseason Thread: Major trade makes it easier to record podcasts for Tkachuk brothers
I think Werenski ends up in Tampa (Moser, O’Reilly, presumably they have a 1st somewhere, something else) because they can move a defenseman and Toronto really doesn’t have that kind of chip. Their package would be focused on Knies and I don’t know if a winger centerpiece does it.
Werenski would take over for Hedman, who seemed to age a lot this year. I’m surprised Hedman still had three years left. I wonder if he LTIRetires before then. Anyway, every time I think the BLOT have lost something, they find a way.

Byram extends 12.5 x 6
He’s getting paid like a 1D, let’s see if he performs like one.
Buffalo made the right move trading him.

Stars traded Mavrik Bourque and Lyubushkin to the Shreds for. 2nd and a 3rd
I would do that in a heartbeat
I now think the Stars find the space to keep Robertson
