Rules:
To place a bid, you must own the compensatory draft pick(s) associated with your bid value. (See below)
Once a bid has been entered on a player, that bid is open for 48 hours. Each time a new bid is placed on that same player, the 48 hour countdown restarts. When a player has not received a bid in more than 48 hours, bidding is closed.
Once bidding on the player has closed, the owning GM should make a decision on whether to match the offer or accept the compensation as soon as possible.
If the owning GM chooses to match, they re-sign that player at a length of their choosing from 1 to 5 years.
If the owning GM decides to take the compensation, the bidding GM signs that player at a length of their choosing and forfeits the compensatory draft picks.
Players not tendered an offersheet can be extended at their current salary for up to 5 years.
Draft Picks:
Compensatory draft picks are from the current draft year unless otherwise specified.
If you own multiple draft picks in a single round, your original pick will be used as compensation first.
If you do not possess your original pick but have others within the same round, the highest (best) pick will be used in compensation.
The highest (best) draft pick will be used for any subsequent compensatory picks within that same round.
Compensation:
$3 or less: no compensation
