Ryan McLeod at C and Tyler Benson at LW are probably the most promising. Tippett has shown that he likes to keep his PK pairs together in the bottom six, which makes sense. With Ennis injured, I wouldn't mind them trying the following with the bottom six:

Shore - Turris - Puljujarvi
Benson - McLeod - Archibald

Puts Archibald back on his natural side (and on the line he belongs on...), puts Shore in a position to PK with Turris and to contribute a bit of offense. McLeod is apparently a good PKer (at least at the AHL level) and it gives him a strong PK partner in Archibald.

I could also see the above configuration working with Khaira at LW if McLeod struggles on the PK. It's hard to imagine a worse 4C than Khaira, so I don't see how it would hurt to try McLeod there.

Chiasson is brutal at even strength and I don't think he contributes anything to the PP other than a right shot and a "heavy stick" - late in yesterday's game they put Puljujarvi out on the PP - hope that trend continues.

When everyone is healthy I wouldn't mind seeing the following:

Nuge - McD - Pulju
Kahun - Drai - Yamo
Ennis - Turris - Kassian
Neal - Haas - Archibald

Leaves the PK pairs as Turris/Ennis and Haas/Archibald. Ennis hasn't really PKed for the Oilers but I wouldn't mind seeing them try him out there.

Puljujarvi looked great from what I saw, plus he had like seven shots.

Something low key hilarious is that the Oilers waived 3G Anton Forsberg for the taxi squad. He was claimed by Carolina. The very next day, Mike Smith was mysteriously unfit to play and it was reported that Carolina was trying to trade Forsberg back to Edmonton for a draft pick.

Holland wouldn't bite and Carolina wasn't keeping 3 goalies active so they waived Forsberg yesterday, who was just claimed by Winnipeg.

Oilers backup to Koskinen is Stuart Skinner, a below average AHL goalie who has never played a game.

The Jerts just lose Eric Comrie to the Devils so it makes sense they'd nab another goalie. I'm sure Kenny has Jimmy Howard's number!
