Here's your answer, Cashin
McKenna’s package, all in all, is rumored to be upwards of $700,000 USD — or in and around a million CAD.
NIL means "Name, Image, and Likeness," it's basically broad coverage allowing college athletes to make money while they're at school from boosters / donors. I remember hearing that certain future WNBA players could make more via NIL than they would from their future WNBA contracts. That's not the case with McKenna but I'm sure he's making a fuckload more than he would've in the CHL.

Who?
Isaac Howard is a former late-first scoring winger who won the Hobey Baker Award last season at MSU. He wasn't going to sign with the BLOT over a perceived lack of immediate opportunity, so instead of having him play his senior year and then walking for free, the BLOT got former late-first 3C Sam O'Reilly, who has a lower ceiling than Howard. Good trade for Thee Goil. Howard signed his ELC so I assume he'll be in the mix for a roster spot. Mangiapane seems like he could be a good fit there but if Savoie and Howard are ready, that's probably EDMO's best chance for improvement.

It seems like people are saying Howard is NHL ready right now, but O'Rielly has a higher upside long term. So I guess that makes sense for the Oilers cap situation right now.

It seems like a good move for the goil but penciling the 22 year old hobey baker winner into the top line is Leafsthink

I don't mind losing Sam O’Reilly to take a big swing here but this reeks of desperation

there's a lot of oiler muscle memory for this kinda "pencil the guy with 0 career games on the 1st line" kinda nonsense e.g. Robbie Schremp, Linus Omark, Magnus Puljujuarjkjlvi, Nail Yakupov, JF Jacques, etc.

I understand the gamble and like the creative thinking here and obviously hope I'm wrong but this basically never works

Shame how much Dumbs has fallen off so hard. For all his faults I always liked him as a player.

I’m relieved that Yzerman didn’t acquire him as a consolation prize.

He was never the same after that big injury. I had him in fantasy and he was having a career year before he got hurt.

Yeah. Career pretty much ruined by a fight related injury. What a waste. Did a ton of good community initiatives and actually loved playing for the team. Hated to see him go

Sharks trade defenseman Henry Thrun to the Leaves for Ryan Reeves

Practice what are you top ten favorite moments from the Ryan Reeves era?

If this is all it took some teams really missed out on a potentially really good goalie!
