I'm also surprised Skinner was included. He was good yesterday!

Jarry was on waivers last year. I don't like this move at all for Edmonton.

Yeah weren't they talking about buying out Jarry like 3 weeks ago?

Jim Rutherford masterclass in tearing apart a pretty decent team in record time with little to show for it.

Buium is a great piece at least

A lot of the talk in the Wings sphere (and the Athletic Prospect Boys podcast today) was whether they would need to include Edvinsson. Peters and Wheeler were adamant that he’d have to be included, Bultman didn’t think so. I don’t think Detroit could have moved him if they wanted a full d-core (even with Hughes), but the Wild deal wins out because Rossi is a more established NHL center than Kasper or Danielson, and Buium is a better prospect than ASP.

All things considered, that looks like a pretty good deal for Vancouver

If the Wild can’t keep him long-term and have to move him again, I don’t think they’d get anyone as good as Buium. So I think there’s a big risk here.

I don’t know. Hughes is a fantastic player but I don’t know if Minnesota is good enough with him to rival Colorado / Dallas.

Guerin is out if he can’t extend him. Still can’t believe this.

Buium has a lot of potential but he will never be as good as Hughes. Rossi is a 2nd liner who is good but I’m sure about his long term future in the league. They were never going to give Ohgren a chance which kinda sucks so they are going to in hard on Yurov.

Hard to know how it all works out but it is very exciting

At this point with those three teams in the division, Hellebuyck can stay injured all season and Winnipeg can tank for a high draft pick they desperately need to inject some youth and excitement into the franchise. Why bother scratching and clawing to get a wildcard spot only to be smoked in the first round again?

(The answer is a couple of games of playoff gate revenue)

Rossi seems like a pretty good player that Guerin was never going to actually like / trust. The Canucks really wanted an NHL center back, so that makes sense. Is Yurov doing well at center?

Any thoughts on Ohgren? He doesn’t seem like a guy they’ll miss.

Has potential but Guerin has given him less of a look than a bottle of bad whiskey.

He could be good but he’s been stapled to a bad 4th line when called up and Iowa is so fucking bad so it’s hard to know where he will end up being as a player.
