#1 Post by practice »

last night on the BBC broadcast of the Canada-US women's game, during a Canada PP, the play-by-play guy said that Canada was missing its key [long pause] locksmith (Marie Philip Poulin)

I watched that game until it was 3-0, Canada was definitely missing a driver

They're missing players that can skate like Caroline Quinn Hughes Harvey and shoot it like Laila Tage Thompson

I know the result of this game but Italy scores first and got away with a hold on an EP40 wraparound that 1. Would’ve been a goal 2. 100% would’ve been a penalty in the NHL

Swedes getting absurd amounts of zone time and shots, but they’re giving up transition chances

Former Leav Pontus Holmberg is getting a regular shift in this game while Filip Forsberg is the 13th forward and has played one shift

Clara makes a big shorthanded save on EP40 but didn’t look comfortable after it

Nylander got the go-ahead goal but I don’t think he’s been especially sharp today. Raymond has generally looked good, very dogged on the puck, but like a few other guys on Sweden, is too deferential.

I am focusing on EP40 a bit, curious about him as a trade option.
