Yeah NMC and I can’t imagine he’s waiving that for Winnipeg. I do think they need to move him if they’re going to free up space for Quinn.

The only guys making $4M+ without trade protection are Mercer, Mantha and Luke Hughes, and certainly one of them isn't gonna be part of the deal

Brendan Dillon reunion? Don’t think the JERTS need him though

I'd really rather not have Dillon back. He was fine, but he doesn't move a needle whatsoever

This seems like most potential Larkin trades in which the JERTS have no option other than to take money back if they want to get prospects/picks.

To Wpg: Dawson Mercer, Nico Daws, Alexander Command and Nick Bjugstad plus two draft picks.
To NJ: Connor Hellebuyck.
Depending on those draft picks, about as good as I could've hoped for I suppose

Now to see who the Devils are dumping on someone else to make the cap work

Picks are a 2027 7th and a 2029 2nd (condischennal?)
Re: Thee Official 2026-2027 NHL Season Thread: Bwady’s a Big Boy Who Wants His Bwanket
that's a tad lacklustre but w/e, at least it's all done

Viggo Bjork and Alexander Command for a decade sounds pretty good

I'm not sold on Command being more than a 3C based on The Prospect Boys' talk of him.

One of the mailbag question on today's Prospect Boys Athletic Hockey Podcast episode was whether any of the centers in the 2027 draft -- and there are 3-4 good names after DuPont -- are 1Cs, and the consensus was no.
I've gone back and forth on how good a Larkin return will actually be and tend to be pessimistic, but man it's hard to get a 1C. That also applies to the Wings post-Larkin, like it's not like if they bottom out and get the 4th pick it's going to solve their problems.

Fair, but a high-floor 3rd line C who can play most situations is something the JERTS will need soon when Adam Lowry's body breaks down

Devils at Jets is Nov 10. I expect Winnipeg will top the Brady return.

I half wonder if he'll still be on his "conditioning stint" then and conveniently not be ready to playsutterfamily wrote: ↑Fri Oct 23, 2026 1:34 pm Devils at Jets is Nov 10. I expect Winnipeg will top the Brady return.
