This is kinda what caught up with my mom. She first got diagnosed with breast cancer in 1991 when I was 10. She had never gotten clear of it and eventually had a reoccurrence in 2009 and had multiple surgeries. She had been getting chemo and radiation more times than I can count and finally developed respiratory issues and declined rapidly this year. I am happy she doesn’t have to deal with this anymore but it was super hard seeing her like this last week. Spent most of the week by her bed to give my dad and sister a break.Grand Moff Larkin wrote: ↑Tue Jun 24, 2025 1:55 pm Oh man, my deepest sympathies
My mom has a reoccurrence of spots in her lungs. She's getting treatment but can't handle chemo anymore. A few weeks ago she was having tests to see if it had spread (it hasn't), and I had a real depressing reckoning over the thought of neither of my parents being around anymore.
