I don't even think Ottawa's playing badly - they are playing "fine". It's not good enough, not playoff level... but it's "fine". Like a spiriting game in December fine. Nobody's awful, nobody's great.

A Simon Benoit fucking overtime clapper off the faceoff. 1 minute into OT? Really? REALLY!? That's the kind of goal that wins a game deep into 2OT, sure, but a minute into OT 1?

Stutzle's been looking dangerous but it never turns into anything (I think they really need to find someone to compliment him in the offseason... somehow). Tkachuk's been good (especially given that he's clearly injured). I think Ridley Grieg's been their best player? But even that line's doing absolutely nothing.

yeah just brutal, my condolences, kind of.

moving on, one thing I missed through 8 SNESless playoff years is watching their home fans sprint to the exits after an OT goal for or against. can't be stuck in that parking lot.
