Leaves had more PPs (5 to 3), couldn't do anything on them while the Broons scored on one of theirs (technically two, with the EN goal), and if you're going to gripe about missed calls, maybe don't spotlight a sequence in which Bertuzzi and Marchand were exchanging slashes / cross-checks / whatever and the refs let everything go. Matthews getting pulled down behind the Broons' goal was an actual missed call. Not saying the Broons don't get away with stuff, but so did Max Domi.

sequences like that just cause the Leafs to unravel though. A clear penalty in the offensive zone, that caused possession to turn, was ignored because the Leafs just scored and you don't really call penalties against a team that's just been scored on, because it's the playoffs. and then Bertuzzi who is a fucking moron decided it was worth escalating this garbage with Marchand as play continued. my dad sent me the Marchand interview talking up the so-impressive new Leafs, so tough and playoff-built, actually you know what would really impress me is if they started chasing me around the ice trying to get in a fight while the play is still going, maybe taking runs at us with their elbows high when they get frustrated with an anemic PP

Was Nylander on their top PP unit in the last few months? I feel like he was on the second unit in their games against the Wings.
