does yahoo's start all players for the week cease to function if you make changes to any date before the end of the week? I hit that button and filled out the rest of the week at least once this week, maybe twice. but adjusted my roster on saturday obviously. then sunday comes around and utah a team whose existence I refuse to recognize is playing at 1pm or something and 2g2a monster oliver bjorkstrand and ppg hit monster and team canada snub will cuyle are both on my bench, under a bunch of guys who aren't playing. I don't understand. (also didn't get kucherov of IR in time to get is 3 points)

I’ve learned that if I make any roster changes during the week, there’s a very high chance of players I set to start moving to the bench.

My workflow is to (manually) set my roster for the week Monday morning, and if there are any changes later, I go through the days again.

It's crazy that I would demote move non-playing guys to the bench anyway I'm going to need you to manually assign to me the points scored by the above and change the result of my matchup vs captain

I think if you add or drop a player it resets everything? I fucking hate it so much.

I see that you did drop somebody on Dec 7, which is conspicuously close to that fateful December 8th with 3G, 5A on the bench in favour of non-playing guys.

I know there is stiff competition these days but I have to think this is one of the greatest injustices of the year would you agree

I remember the discussion about hating it last year but I thought it was about how on days with a full slate of games when there will be playing guys on any bench it seems to make its decisions about who to play vs bench based on rank and always benches the higher ranked players. I didn't realize that a thing could be designed with this type of logic. do you want to start all active players for the rest of the week? y (but not if I drop a player before the end of the week, obviously, in that case I would rather have active players on my bench in favour of non-playing ones) :ruff:

Dropped Jack Quinn after 2 weeks of being a healthy scratch, weeks before that getting bumped down/benched, and 1 goal all season. Immediately re-enters the top 6 and scores twice

I've watched three Sabres games this year (i.e. the ones against the Wings), he played in the first two and got his only previous goal into the empty net (off an incredibly fortunate bounce to him, I think Kane hit the crossbar and it landed on his stick) and was healthy scratched the third game. I heard his name exactly once in the first two games. Seems like a total passenger so I don't blame you for dropping him.

I kind of mentioned this with the minors comment earlier in the season, but for IR contract purposes, both contract dollars and years don't count against the cap while players are on IR, yeah? Bumping up against the margins here with contract years.

No, neither count if they’re on IR

Reminder now that we are in the playoffs:
Rosters are frozen at the conclusion of the CFL regular season. No signings (prospect or UFA), claims, or drops can be made between the end of the regular season and the conclusion of the playoffs*, regardless of prospect eligibility status. Any prospects that pass the eligibility threshold will be signed or released during the offseason.

*The only exception is for active playoff teams on an emergency injury call-up basis:
-If a player on an active playoff team becomes injured (Out, DTD, or IR status), the GM has the choice to sign a prospect to his ELC or to sign a free agent.
-All in-season free agent signing procedures will apply as usual (highest bid for 24 hours, etc.)
-If the GM replacing an injured player has a prospect who has passed the eligibility threshold (120 GP), the GM is not required to sign that player, though they may choose to.

Was going to try and get compliant in that 7 day window, I.e. drop some UFA I picked up for a guy who recently rejoined the team. (Drop Slavin, activate Peterka). Not worried if we locked in at midnight EST last night though. If it is alright, they both play tomorrow

I'm just going to leave it

Sorry I hadn't seen this until today. To me the end of the regular season is Sunday night but we can write that into the rules for more clarity

No sweat. To clarify, I've got a couple guys who were still on IR in their 7 day window (still are in the window today, tomorrow is day 7) Sunday. I'm happy to just leave it unless that's an issue.
