Welp yesterday she started fluids at the pet ER and it seemed like things were going to work out, but I got a call at 2am saying that her kidneys weren't functioning at all and her body was shutting down. We woke up Kid Artillery to see if she wanted to go out there and say goodbye, but she didn't want to see Lynx hooked up to tubes / machines. Making a decision to put a cat to sleep -- a four-year old cat that we've had for like nine months, JFC -- was brutal at 3am. Kid Artillery was relieved that it didn't happen while she was off at music camp (ten days starting Wednesday), last summer my Mom died while my daughter was at that camp and we had to wait to tell her until after the camp-ending concert.
