How is it possible that the Wings have to play the Rangers again this week?

Every article about them in The Athletic is "Here's how the Wings are worse this season" and the comments will pile on. I can't read that stuff. It's not wrong, they're definitely a flawed team. Yes, it was a mistake to trade Walman and let Gostisbehere go and bring in Gustafsson. Yes, Chiarot/Petry is a troublesome pairing. Yes, they're not scoring much past the top line. But I don't need to read the same complaints every time. They're 5-5-1 with two excellent-looking goalies, their schedule has been pretty tough, they've had weird bounces go against them in seemingly every game. I think Kasper and Berggren are due for some goals.

There's an article about how the SNES may have figured things out and they're 6-5-1.

The Wings are 6-5-1, in fourth place in the Atlantic. Their next two games are against the Leaves and the Rags (c'mon, man), hopefully they can split those. Then they have a West Coast road trip. It's too bad the Kings are hot right now.
