Wings have had a few good shifts this period, Berggren draws a hooking penalty on Tavares. Not the biggest hook but it stopped Burger from getting to a loose puck in the slot.

I assume Matthews being out is a major cause of this, but it doesn’t feel like the Leaves are as good or deep 5 on 5 as in previous years. Marner, Nylander, and Knies have been good at even but the bottom six is filler.

5 on 5 has been quiet for both teams. The Kasper / Berggren / Tarasenko line has generated some chances but still can't bury one.

Wings needed to generate more chances. Mickey Redmond said they only had eight "scoring chances" in the game, which seems high for how it felt.

I don't know if the ice was shit or what, but the Wings wiped out a bunch and had no touch on their passing.

Big revelation for me about the wings is that Rasmussen is said like it rhymes with Rasputin
