Easier to give up Beaudoin than Desnoyers. He seems like he’ll top out as a 3C.

I genuinely don’t know what the Rags are doing.

Speaking of not knowing what they’re doing
Vancouver Canucks trade Marcus Pettersson to New York Rangers: Sources
No return yet

Meanwhile the BLOT traded Nick Paul to the Leaves for Hildeby and some mid-round picks

Capitals sign Boone Jenner, former Blue Jackets captain, to 4-year, $23 million deal
That helps their center depth after moving McMichael and Lapierre

Oilers trade Darnell Nurse to Sharks for Shakir Mukhamadullin and Zack Sharp
Don’t know Muk’s ceiling, also don’t know if Goil retained anything
No retention. Bizarre moves all around

Wings got Keegan Kolesar for a 3rd and a 7th, sure, whatever

TSN said he’s “on his way to the Windy City”

I don’t know much about Kolesar aside from that he’s a fourth liner who hits, which is probably enough

Marcus Pettersson return is a 2030 first, top ten protected

Again, I do not understand the vision

Again you have to think Larkin returns at least one active player. I’d be happy moving out Appleton and/or Rasmussen. Also possible that Danielson isn’t ready to start the year.

Barrett Hayton got an offer sheet?

The Devils for one year, 4.775, would be a 2nd in compensation. Utah wouldn't be able to trade him in the next year and he'd be a UFA in 2027.

Apparently it's a spite sheet? Utah pulled out of a trade for Hayton at the draft.

Utah only has like 3.7 mil of cap space, so they'd have to do a move or two to make it work. But having it go straight to UFA makes up for the fact that it seems pretty matchable,

I looked into Hayton when it seemed like Utah was a possibility for Larkin (sob). Probably a good 3C, feels a little too close to JT Compher for my tastes. But for a 2nd it's probably worth it if you're NJ.

Are there proposed lines for the Leaves out there? I can't follow all the moves they made and how they look now.

I do think the Wings are the worst team in the Atlantic now, which is great.

TSN declared the Leafs the winners of Free Agency. Seems like the kind of thing they like to do (glaze Toronto) but legitmately feels like a crazy stretch to call this awesome???

Bobrovsky
Roslovic
Sissons
Duhaime
Blueger
Macewen

I don't really understand the Paul trade from the BLOT's perspective. The Carlson signing (two years, 7.5 per) was great for them, but their other moves (Viel, Mikheyev) are a bit puzzling.

Not too bad
