This may belong in the offseason thread, but I am still pissed at the Rantanen trade. Remember the arms races of the 90s Larkin? Detroit and Colorado had rental players all the damn time. Don't think you can re-sign Rantanen? Fuck it, let him walk after the season. Couldn't think of a better rental player than him.

like this is obviously appalling stuff from Mitch but the pass goes straight to Matthews. Rielly is flying the zone there for what? the responsible bank up the boards to no one? it's so mf bleak

all this fluff about having to win battles and outcompete. they were rolling in game 2 and early game 3 by flying the zone and turning pucks over and up the ice quickly. obviously Florida adjusted, and also one of their players concussed the Leafs' starting goalie with no repurcussions, but even before it went off the rails last night guys like Kampf and Robertson were trying to make hits when the puck was available to be turned over. obviously these guys, MM and AM especially, are fucking losers deep down and maybe that's what makes me identify with them, but I do think part of the self-destruction they do every year is convincing themselves that they have to outhit teams like Florida.

I was really hoping I could enjoy the Oilers run this year but last night saw to that. I can't take it, no more news
