It's now being reported by the Freep that Larkin's list has only 3 teams: Vegas, Florida, and Minnesota.
Woof

If he goes to Vegas I assume Hertl would have to be in the package back. It's not like they have picks or prospects left, aside from Trevor Connelly, and FUCK Trevor Connelly. Hard no but Vegas makes these deals happen so who fucking knows.

Florida has Lundell and the 9th pick, anything else is uninteresting. I wouldn't mind Bjorck or Cullen with the 9th pick. Maybe Raymond has scouting for Bjorck from playing with him at Worlds.

Minnesota didn't suddenly get some package better than Yurov / Stramel / 1st or Wallstedt. I'm sure their fans are trying to shoehorn Hartman and Middleton into it instead of Yurov and Wallstedt / 1st.

“Jake Middleton, who has a no-move until July 1”

I wonder if that’ll be the delay on a trade. I assume Minnesota has to add a salary dump to make the deal work (Hartman or Trenin are other candidates).

Supposedly Edmonton is getting Sebastian Cossa, a 2nd + whatever else

Had multiple reasons to root for him in Detroit (name, long development, fantasy ownership)

I wish they'd just give him a shot in Detroit. If he ends up being a starter and they traded him at a reduced cost after using a first (and trading up with additional assets) to get him, fuuuuck

why choose now (right after sitting out the playoffs because his backup was on a heater) to trade what has been your blue-chip goalie prospect for five years?

Sounds like a more reputable source has refuted the earlier report

I don’t get trading him either

The common thread for the three teams on Larkin’s list are Best Olympic Buddies (Eichel + Hanafin/ Matthew Tkachuk / Guerin Hughes Boldy Faber). My preferred return would be from Utah (Desnoyers, Hayton, 1st or prospect) but I don’t think Clayton Keller is in that inner circle.

Other prominent US Olympians:

J’accuse!: I don’t hate the idea of a Hischier trade anymore, but the Devils also missed the playoffs this year so I don’t think it’s at the same level as a contender.

Brady / Sando: Unless the SNES are unhappy with Cozens it doesn’t really make sense. SNES have great center depth, they’re in the division, and they don’t have a surplus of prospects.

Connor and Kyle: Larkin’s not going to Winnipeg but maybe he should?

Werenski: I probably talked about the Beej opportunity before but I still don’t think it makes sense.

I think Larkin would rather sit for the rest of the 5 years on his deal than go to Winnipeg

Utah might be on Larkin’s list now

Desnoyers, Hayton, 1st, do it

The rare occasion where both the player and the fans and possibly even the team agree? But, I mean, is he even tradable?

I think he's tradable, maybe not for much of a return, but the free agent market is dire
