I don’t anticipate Appleton staying on a 60 goal pace by any means, but I did check to see how many goals Tyler Motte had last year and it was four total.

Got to see ASP’s first career goal in person

No Kucherov has helped. Wings PPs have been terrible. Nice to see Gibson make saves.

So the Wings got caved in during the third period. They were up like 22-14 in shots and then all of a sudden the BLOT had 26-25. Gibson was incredible but couldn't do anything on the tying goal.

Finnie had a chance to win it in the last minute, which would've been great for his first NHL goal. But it goes to OT, and there were a couple of times (like when Kane got tripped and went down behind the BLOT goal and the BLOT didn't really do much with a 3 on 2 the other way) that I was sure it was going to end poorly for Detroit. But a BLOT shot rimmed around the boards and Larkin had a clean break from... the Wings' blueline? He buried it on Vasi and Pizzarena Uno went fucking bonkers. The most fun I've had at a game.

No Kucherov was definitely nice, but Vasi is still Vasi and the Wings' record against him is putrid. 4-1 to start the season against playoff teams from the division, can't complain.
