I feel for Max Bultman. I don’t want to read or engage with All Bad News columns.

I agree with Barstool Sports that a true anti ownership populist campaign by fans should embrace Larkin and his grievances against the organization

Frank Seravalli says Detroit is more willing to trade Edvinsson for prospects, draft picks or young roster players than they would be in a Dylan Larkin trade.

He says Utah is one of the teams with the most interest in Edvinsson.
What if they just don't trade him

There's probably a package I'd be happy with from Utah, given how much I pined for Desnoyes in a potential Larkin deal, but just fucking sign Edvinsson!

Maybe if a couple hundred more people yell at Chris Ilitch on LinkedIn, it will happen

Is this the first time I’m sad I’m not on LinkedIn?

It's funny because amongst 180 comments saying the exact same shit [sell the team pizza boy/sign edvinsson/I've been a wings fan for _ years and you ruined everything/etc], there is some business man pulling in with "Little Caesars pizza has never tasted as good as it does at LCA, thank you Chris!"

He's probably going to get an invite up to the owner's box. Maybe he'll be the next GM!

Chris probably asked Chat GPT if any of the candidates could win a Larkin trade and got told no

My best guess at this point

I hadn't considered AI's involvement in this process but yeah Illitch is 100% using it as his trusted advisor.

It's pretty wild that "They fired Steve Yzerman and still haven't properly replaced him months later" is somehow now a distant third behind "They alienated the top-pair defenseman who actually wanted to be here" and "The Michigan-born captain is sick of it and wants to go hang with his Team USA bros."

Today's Winged Wheel Podcast was a harrowing listen. Just three dudes angrily yelling about the team while I walked Gordie around my neighborhood.

I can't bring myself to listen to it these days, honestly. It feels like the SNL Tucker Carlson bit, where it's just "what are we even doing" "what does this mean" "where are we going" - sentiments I share, but don't need echoed.
I really miss the Wings For Breakfast podcast.

The zone is absolutely flooded with "Chris Ilitch fucked everything up" so hopefully the AI convinces him sooner than later?
I 1000% believe Chris would try to let an AI totally manage the roster and actually believe he's a trendsetter.

I feel bad for Horcoff. But I'm glad absolutely nobody is putting this disaster on him. Yet.

As I'm listening to it I do think "Man why am I doing this to myself?" but I know the reason (The Distraction's gone and I don't care for Drew's new all-NFL podcast, WTF ended, Roth's Hallmark podcast rarely updates).

I can't see Horcoff taking the blame -- fans are 100% right to blame ownership -- but at the same time, it doesn't seem like an experience he can parlay into a GM job with another team.

Looks like Larkin is playing tonight

I've gotten so many emails from the Wings' ticketing department asking if I want to buy a flex pack. So far I haven't responded with "Will Simon Edvinsson be in the lineup?"

Good timing for Ridly Grieg to come back off his suspension?

I honestly thought this morning "Which Red Wing do I think Ridly Grieg will hurt tonight with a cheap shot?" and I landed on Emmitt Finnie.

No Brady will definitely diminish my SNES hatred but I feel like Grieg will take it upon himself to fill that void

Would it be ok if he got Larkin (no injury, just pain)?

I do wish Grieg would clean it up, it's tiresome and he's got enough skill to be a really effective 3rd line guy. don't need the dirty shit (and they're two games in without giving up a completely needless stupid penalty)

If he's just gonna stay with the shitbird stuff then trade him, plenty of teams are dumb enough to trade value for that.

I bet the crowd would cheer if Larkin got wrecked, unfortunately this team is not that lucky. It'll be someone I actually like.

I'm trying to remember the last guy the Wings had like that. Steve Ott? Kolesar in theory is a pain to play against but he got absolutely brutalized by Bauer on Winnipeg.

Incredibly weird to see Larkin warming up

No Compher or Appleton tonight, good for them to tell me now so I’m not wondering if they’re just invisible
