Stooter scores, Grieg needlessly knocks it back into the net

I really want this line to work (MBN - Finnie - Debrincat)

Ersson looking really solid to start the game, oozing confidence.

On paper it seems like it should work

I like Finnie at center

It's still possible that AI tells Ilitch to fade away and let the GM work. Ed gets signed, Larkin plays out the year. Things aren't AS bad?

I wish I could be optimistic on Edvinsson, but the rumors I've heard -- they're willing to take prospects / picks in a trade for him, they offered 8.5 x 6 -- are not encouraging. Maybe if you'd offered 8.5 x 6 last summer we wouldn't be in this mess!

Larkin having his wife and kid by the glass feels like a plea for leniency, but I do wonder if he'd prefer to stay close to family.

I saw it as them just trying to be there for him. It cannot be easy to take that warm-up.

Yzerman should have had Edvinsson signed, no question. I just really want the rumors to be wrong.

Four goals or four shots

What a move by Faulk

Hoping for a Kolesar rush goal just before that felt like a bridge too far

Didn’t want to get too big of a head, back to abysmal PK coverage

I still love how excited Ken and Mickey get when a fourth liner gets a breakaway. Oh! Here we go! [it's the animated corpse of Dan Cleary]

Darren Helm had the biggest disparity between excitement over a breakaway and odds of a positive finish
